Ours is a Java WebDynPro based application and one of the WebDynPro screens has the requirement to display UI5 charts on it.
So far, we have beemn using applets, which are embedded inside an iFrame on the WebDynPro page.
Now, we need to achieve the same by showing the new SP UI5 Charts on that screen.
The problem is that the UI5 Charts are designed to run in the 'Compatibility' Mode on IE9, whereas, the WebDynPro pages are to be run in the 'Quirks' Mode of IE9.
Due to this conflict, if we keep the browser in Quirks Mode, then Charts do not render and if we run it in 'Compatible' mode, then the webdynpro page gets distorted.
How to get both running together?
